Meeting one player each episode, Karen speaks with some of the greatest names in the sport today as they were preparing for the World Cup in Australia & New Zealand – reflecting on the challenges they have faced in their outstanding careers whilst encouraging them to open up about the sacrifices and hardships that are required to reach the elite level of the beautiful game.

Our July 2023 interview with Dele serves as a testament to the immense reach achievable on The Overlap. Within the first 24 hours, the interview amassed 3.4 million views on YouTube. Beyond our platform, Everton's 1878s created a moving "we are with you Dele, together… we are stronger" banner, widely shared during Everton's season opener. Esteemed sports outlets like B/R Football and TNT Sport also shared this heartwarming show of solidarity. Kensington Palace acknowledged the video, praising Dele's bravery and sending warm wishes.
